CLIL ‘Good practice’ in the ‘Electrical and Automatic Installations’ IEA course
On 3 March, IEA students Gabriel de Oliveira and Lander Gutiérrez took centre stage at the European conference ‘Boost your CLIL in VET’. Their video, which shows the benefits of the CLIL methodology (Content and Language Integrated Learning), was selected as ‘good practice’, along with others from schools in Catalonia, Finland and Belgium. IEA students, under the guidance of Joseba Altuna and Unai Abaunza, worked on the challenge of the Star/Triangle Boost method using CLIL methodology.
Boost for CLIL in VET’ is a project funded by the Erasmus+ Programme in which the Vice-Ministry of Vocational Education and Training of the Basque Country participates together with partners from different countries.
The aim is to expand the possibilities of vocational training students in a globalised world through the implementation of CLIL methodology in the curricula.
Two teachers from Armeria Eskola participated in the piloting of the MOOC course on CLIL methodology in July last year and have developed material based on the aforementioned technique.
