Armeria Eskola in Ostrava (Czech Republic)
On 3-4 November, the international VET BRIDGE 2026 conference is being held in Ostrava, the capital of the Moravian-Silesian Region of the Czech Republic. Sixteen directors from the ‘FP Euskadi LH’ network, along with representatives from Tknika and the Deputy Ministry, have attended to share experiences and explore potential collaborations across different lines of work.
Imanol Urreisti, Director of Armeria Eskola, is taking part in this delegation; specifically, he participated in the round table discussion held on 2 November. This round table discussion addressed the transformation that has taken place in our Vocational Education over the last two decades, sharing reflections on the comprehensive journey and vision from the ETHAZI learning model to the LEARNING FACTORY workstream.
The conference was organised by the Moravian-Silesian Technology Academy (MTA) and is being attended by directors from various VET (Vocational Training School) schools in the Czech Republic, as well as several international delegations.
Among the various activities, a range of content available on the technological learning platform called EDUBOX was presented, and the strategy being developed in the region for this digital content was outlined.
Finally, this delegation of Basque directors has visited the Ostrava factory of the Basque company BATZ. During these days, there have been many opportunities to discuss initiatives for collaboration and future challenges; as it is a region with many similarities to Gipuzkoa, we have concluded that a path can be forged for developing projects between the business and vocational education systems.
