Emeu4crossovers: Urban Landscaping Technicians pilot modules

We launched the Emeu4crossovers internationalization project a year and a half ago and recently we had the opportunity to collect and taste the fruits of the work done when conducting the pilot crossover modules. Students of Automation and Industrial Robotics and Mechatronics from Armeria Eskola and Landscaping and Gardening students (Aarhus, Denmark) worked on an automated vertical garden prototype combining horticulture and technology.

In Denmark, at the Green Academy, students learned about the characteristics and needs of plants and gardens and how to integrate them into the community. Later, at Armeria Eskola, they focused on technology: pneumatics, hydraulics, sensors and programming.

Transversal issues such as biodiversity, green urban planning or sustainable development were also addressed.

Both modules were a success and most students appreciated knowing a new country, making new friends, developing a solution that can be used in real life, learning about different areas of work and improving their communication skills in English.
